Remote Deposit

Utilize the remote-deposit feature on The Southern’s mobile
app...Snap a photo of your paper check and make the deposit digitally! It’s that easy.

  • Endorse your check “For Mobile Deposit only at The Southern Credit Union” before making your mobile deposit.
  • Retain your original check for 30 days

Tips

  • Place check on a dark background in a well lit area
  • Keep camera positioned directly over the check
  • Watch out for those fingers!

Signing up for Mobile Banking from a Smartphone:

  1. Go to the App store on your phone
  2. Search for The Southern Credit Union
  3. Install the app
  4. Select Sign Up in the lower left hand corner of the screen (Already an Online Banking Member? There is no need to Sign Up, you are all set...just enter your User ID and Password you assigned for Online Banking.)
  5. Enter your User ID and the last four digits of your Social Security Number. The User ID is your member number that was given to you when you opened your account. You can find your member number in your new user packet or on your quick reference card.
  6. You will be prompted to enter a new User ID and password
  7. Click on Complete Sign-up
  8. You will then need to receive a one-time passcode. The passcode can be sent to your email address, cell phone as a text, or receive an automated voice call. Select how you would like to receive the one-time passcode.

Removing Your Mobile Banking Profile

To remove your online or mobile banking profile, please submit a request to us in writing stating that you no longer want access to your online or mobile banking account. Please make sure to include a signature. Upload this request to our Secure File Drop or mail to us at The Southern Credit Union, PO Box 1509, Fayetteville, GA 30214-6509. You may also stop by one of our convenient branches for assistance.

What is Mobile Banking? How is it different from Online Banking?

  • Mobile banking can be looked at as a condensed version of our online banking service. It allows you to view your account balances and recent account activity as well as conduct certain transactions using compatible and supported mobile phones and/or other wireless devices such as tablets. You must download the app to use this service.

Is it secure to do my banking through the The Southern mobile app?

  • Yes, your personal information is secured by the same encryption and login credentials as you use for online banking.

Do I need to set up Online Banking with The Southern to use Mobile Banking?

  • No, you do not have to use Online Banking to take advantage of our Mobile App! Download The Southern mobile app through the App Store and you can login for the first time by clicking Sign Up at the bottom.

Is there a cost for Mobile Banking?

  • No, Mobile Banking is free and there are no usage fees. But standard text messaging & data rates apply from your communication service provider. Members should consult their service provider contract.
